In this chapter the author talked a lot about schema. With schema my understanding that I take away form this chapter is that it is a set response to a particular situation. The way that one can develop this schema is brought to light in one's mind is from experience. Through past experiences people learn way to do something that just become natural after a certain amount of time of it happening. So schema is something that can be brought about from learning in the classroom. The way that schema helps us perceive intelligence is kind of strange in a sense, people naturally think that a person is not smart because they don't know how to do a certain task and vice versa, we see people as smart if they know how to do and know certain things. the problem with this is when we see the so called dumb person, with schema in mind, those people more than likely don't have those experiences yet. And the smart people have those past experiences to help them. So schema is both good and bad, and its use of judging intelligence should not be used in the scheme of things.
