In these three short videos there is a decent amount of similarities and differences of what we can actually do to day compared to that in the videos future of technology. One of the similarities is that in the video and now we can video call people using our computers and this was smart of the video maker to thing of this back then. Another similarity is that you can easily send information between yourself and others in our time by via email and other sources and in the videos way just by using a voice command to the girl through the computer. But there is some differences that was shown in the video that aren't all that true to day. Yes you can do video call but there isn't much of a teach connecting to a student via video during class. And its not that easy to find the information that you need like shown in the video.
I believe that in the future with the use of technology will be entirely different. I believe that there will no textbooks anymore. Also all homework will be only on the digital sense. Because it is seen today that people in the med field are beginning to use virtual reality equipment to practice surgeries and soon that kin of thing might just take over all different types of learning hands on. Making a world where a teacher and his/her students can shown things in a different sense than just as in a video or in a book. Nobody can predict or see into the future we can only believe and wait to see what comes.

In response to the video "Blow Up the Grade Book" these are my thoughts on the matter. With the information that is learned in the classroom really does depend on those who are more motivated than the others to take that information and expand upon it in their own free time. But I don't see many people like that in todays schools or even in my university. The way to make a system of progression on your own terms seems like a much better way to learn something because you can work at the pace that suits you. Also, when it comes to homework most of the time there is not enough background to effectively do if you encounter a simple snag, so getting rid of it and replacing it with something more informative and personal really changes the way take-home learning works. I believe that this system of leveling up in learning, like grinding in a game is a good alternative to motivate students to strive for the best.
![]() I should probably start from scratch and tell you guys a little about myself, likes and dislikes, and so on. For those who don’t know, my name is Anthony. I am a sophomore here at BSU, and I changed my major from last semester from computer science to Games Interactive Media and Mobile. I switched over to this major because I thought that it would be something that I would enjoy. Also, some things to know are that I like video games like a lot of other guys, and reading is good as well, and I also enjoy skiing. Things I dislike are horror and spiders; I don’t like that stuff. It is just a bunch of nope…nope…nope. My focus is that to help people that want to learn, how to do something and learn a way to do it in an environment that allows ease of learning. There are many times where there is something that I want to learn, but the teaching tools that are available do an inconsistent job of aiding learning in the desired skill. This is a major drawback to in trying to learn how to do something. I am all for trial and error, but there comes a point where trial and error is more destructive to a person’s ability to learn rather than building up a skill. I just want to eliminate that issue and help people learn in an easier manner. With that as my focus it’s time to understand the reason for being interested in teaching/instructing. I want to have a calm and collected class that I can teach happily in. |
